New to the studio? Welcome!

We’re so excited to have you join us and can’t wait to welcome you into our community. We’ve included some Frequently Asked Questions below to make your first visit to The Yoga Tree as simple and relaxing as possible. Have additional questions? Send us a message at info@theyogatreestudio.com and we’ll be happy to answer them for you! We look forward to meeting you on a mat.

  • Yes! You can register for classes on our website or within The Yoga Tree’s mobile app!

  • If you’ve never been to the studio before, we’re happy to offer you our New Student Special - 3 classes for $30.

You will be presented with our New Student Special under the Promotions tab at checkout when you book your first class. The New Student Special is valid for 30 days from purchase.

  • We recommend starting with Basics, a flow practice that moves at a bit of a slower pace with longer posture holds so that we can break down proper alignment in each posture.

If you’re looking for a challenge, don’t let the slower pace fool you - you’ll still break a sweat and develop strength in your body while providing the knowledge required to create a sustainable, lifelong yoga practice.

Looking for something more relaxing and meditative? We recommend Restore, Yin or Mellow!

  • We recommend comfortable clothing that is easy to move in! For tops, we recommend avoiding anything too loose or flowy as they can obstruct your view in some postures.

For Yin and Restorative classes, we recommend bringing layers as there is less movement involved and your body temperature will tend to drop.

  • We recommend bringing a yoga mat and water to your class. Any props required for class are available for complimentary use at the studio however, if you’d prefer to use your own, you’re welcome to bring them!

Don’t have a mat? No worries! We have our favorite grippy mats from Jade Yoga available for purchase. If you plan to practice consistently, a quality mat is a game-changer.

Want to try it before you by it? Simply visit the front desk and ask for a rental mat for $3 per class.

  • We recommend arriving 10-15 minutes early for your first class so that we can give you a tour of the studio, help you with props and answer any questions you may have.

To give our team time to set the space, the studio door will remain locked until 15 minutes before class begins.

Running late? Don’t stress! Simply send us a text at (978) 206-1836 to let us know. We’ll set up your spot with props and see you when you arrive.

  • There are metered parking lots + street parking available throughout downtown Haverhill, including a lot directly behind the studio and across the street at the Haverhill train station.

Metered parking is $1 per hour Monday through Saturday from 10am - 8pm, with complimentary parking on Sundays. You can pay at one of the many kiosks located throughout downtown or by downloading the Passport Parking app.

There is also a MVRTA parking garage on Granite Street, a short two block walk from the studio.

Parking can be a bit of a challenge in the evenings in downtown Haverhill, especially on Friday and Saturday nights, so we recommend giving yourself ample time to arrive.

  • Due to the limited spots in each class, we require a minimum of 8 hours notice for cancellations.

If you cancel your reservation at least 8 hours in advance, your class credit will be added back to your account automatically.

If you are using a single or multi-class pass and cancel with less than 8 hours notice, the credit will be deducted from your account.

If you have any of our Unlimited memberships and cancel with less than 8 hours notice, you will be charged a $10 cancellation fee.
